Car snatcher held.

TOBA TEK SINH -- The Arrouti police and Punjab highway patrol police arrested on Wednesday an alleged car snatcher and seized from him a stolen car.

Police said Khanewal police had informed them that the car snatcher was traveling towards Toba Tek Singh via Abdul Hakeem after snatching the car. Both Arrouti and highway patrol police picketed Faisalabad-Multan Road in the Arrouti area. The driver tried to flee by breaking the barriers but the police chased him and forced him to pull up.

The driver was identified as Sajid Husain, of Gojra.

CASE: Kamalia Saddar police registered on Wednesday a case against a man for allegedly restraining a health department vaccinator from giving anti-polio vaccine to children.

Health department's employee Muhammad Ishtiaq said that lady health worker Azra Parveen was administering anti-polio vaccine in Chak 711-GB when accused Muhammad Suhail stopped her from doing so and also threatened her with consequences.

Police were conducting raids to arrest the accused.

SNATCHED: Three gunmen snatched a rifle from the security guard of a private school in Gojra.

The police said Ali Muhammad was on duty at the gate of the school in Aftab Town when the gunmen riding a motorcycle snatched the gun from him and fled. The police obtained a CCTV footage of the school to identify the accused persons.
