Captain drowns.

Rescue crews have recovered the body of the captain of a small tanker loaded with 1,000 tons of light fuel that sank near Gibraltar.

The Spabunker IV went down yesterday after springing a leak during stormy weather in Algeciras Bay, posing another oil threat to Spain's coast.

Two of the ship's crew were rescued, while navy and air crews continued searching for the ship's captain, Spaniard Miguel Roig.

Some of the 300 tons of the vessel's own diesel fuel has leaked, but none of the light fuel cargo was immediately detected in the water, said the Spanish energy company CEPSA, which had hired the vessel.
