Capitol Federal Financial, Inc. (NASDAQ: CFFN) has said that it has completed its current stock repurchase plan.

The plan, announced in November 2012, has approved the repurchase of up to USD175m in stock. In total, the company repurchased 14.6 million shares at an average price of USD11.95 per share, or USD175m. As of September 3, 2015, the company had 137.1 million shares of stock outstanding.

Capitol Federal's management and board will consider a new stock buyback programme as they consider the company's capital management programme, it said.

Capitol Federal Financial, Inc. is the holding company for Capitol Federal Savings Bank, which has 47 branch locations in Kansas and Missouri, and is one of the largest residential lenders in the State of Kansas.
