Capitol Communities Corp. says its wholly owned subsidiary. (Business Briefs).

Capitol Communities Corp. says its wholly owned subsidiary, Capitol Development of Arkansas Inc., has filed a motion to dismiss its petition for relief under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, which was originally filed July 21, 2000, when a planned sale of 1,000 acres it owned at Maumelle fell through and a secured creditor sought to foreclose on the land. The company says it has paid its secured creditors in lieu of a plan of reorganization. The company has completed land sales totaling $8.5 million and has paid off all of its secured creditors.
