A SERIES of debates are being held by Capital Club Bahrain.

The first debate was held under the theme 'Women are their own worst enemy' and three top businesswomen took part in the panel debate.

Beckett McInroy Consultancy founder and managing director Dr Clare Beckett-McInroy supported the motion, while Standard Chartered Bahrain's corporate affairs head Noora Al Nusuf was against it. Triple Bottom Line co-founder and managing director Leena Al Olaimy was the moderator.

The audience voted at the end of the debate, which found that 54 per cent supported the motion.

The next event will be held in March under the theme 'Social media hinders society'.
