CapMed Awarded First Honors for Personal Health Record Systems at 2006 TEPR Awards.

NEWTOWN, Pa. -- CapMed, a division of Bio-Imaging Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ/NMS: BITI), a leader in Personal Health Management Solutions, announced today that it received the first-place award in the Personal Health Record Systems category at the Towards the Electronic Patient Record (TEPR) conference. The annual event, which was held in Baltimore this year, recognized 19 outstanding healthcare information system solutions in seven categories. Medical Records Institute (MRI), a Boston-based health IT conference organizer, presents the TEPR conference each year.

"We are very pleased to receive this award from TEPR," said Wendy Angst, general manager of CapMed. "The TEPR conference is one of the industry's primary events. This award reiterates CapMed's position as a leader in the development of Personal Health Record solutions, and we are proud to be recognized by such an outstanding organization."

The TEPR award process has two selection stages. The first phase occurred in March and April of this year when a panel of independent judges reviewed the applications and selected three finalists for each category. The second part of the awards procedure took place at the conference on May 21, when the three finalists presented and demonstrated their products to the judges.
