Caolaneoin bumped up 20lb.

RATINGS RISERS LAST week's jumps programme was cut in half due to cancellations at Downpatrick and Clonmel, but one big hike was issued and it was about as unexpected as possible.

Trainer Shane Nolan admitted after the beginners' chase at Naas on Sunday that the once promising Caolaneoin may well have been in the last-chance saloon, but a runaway victory in that contest has propelled him up a whopping 20lb to a mark of 125. How quickly the ten-year-old can reproduce that sort of form will be interesting to see.

Oliver McKiernan's Luckyinmilan managed to defy a pair of 10lb rises to earn his third handicap win in four attempts at Gowran on Saturday. He avoids another 10lb increase - just - with the handicapper putting him up a mere 9lb for that success to 114.

Those were the only two adjustments of any significance last week and the Flat ratings were hardly shaken up by events at Dundalk on Friday.

The consistent Poetic Choice landed the 1m handicap on the card and goes up 7lb to 81, while Lusis Naturea defied what appeared to be a harsh mark in the 1m2f handicap and goes up 6lb to 89.
