DANNY WILLETT will be the poster boy and a firm favourite heading to Wentworth.
The Masters champion showed his class early doors at the Irish Open, but faded out of contention over the weekend.
He'll be eager to repair the damage of shooting 77 and wilting under the heat and light of Rory's Sunday masterclass in Kildare.
It was a dispiriting finale - and perhaps a reality check - but there's every chance Willett will benefit from his K Club experience.
The World No9 is 11/1 to win the BMW PGA Championship and he boasts form, having finishing fifth there as a rookie in 2010.
He will arrive at Wentworth in a similar mindset to then - keen to make a mark with a lot on the line.
The Race to Dubai is a huge target for Willett and with McIlroy sitting this week out, it's a massive opportunity for the Englishman to extend his points lead at the top of the rankings.
Adding the European Tour's flagship title to the Masters would be a sensational return at this stage of the season.
