The drugs, worth thousands of pounds on the black market, were growing over two and a half acres of land.
But the family who own the farmland have been told that they will not face prosecution.
They told detectives they grew the plants unwittingly after buying seed to provide cover for bird shooting on the land.
The entire crop grown on the farm near Blackpool was burned by the police.
