Cancer kills bro and sis in 12 days.

Byline: DAVID BROWN

THE parents of two kids who died from cancer within 12 days of each other are praying their surviving child won't suffer the same fate.

Heather MacIntyre, 16, and her brother Tom, 13, both suffered brain tumours.

And last week policeman Rob and wife Sarah's third child Emma had tests.

Now doctors have given her the all-clear after finding the double tragedy was not due to a hereditary condition.

The couple, both 39 from Didcot, Oxon, are so traumatised that they are off work.

Mrs MacIntyre said: "After losing two children in 12 days, we now have to try to rebuild our lives."

Tom was the first to die. At his funeral, brave Heather walked behind his coffin, helped by painkilling morphine injections.

Just over a week later she, too, was dead.
