Cancellations in wake of tragedy THIS Saturday's Llanrhaeadr sheepdog trial has been cancelled following the tragic death of Nantglyn young farmer Bryn Jones.

The popular 22-yearold was due to help set up the trials field and fellow organisers were too upset to carry on without him.

A spokesman for the North Wales Sheep Dog Society said: "We were deeply saddened to learn of the death and we extend our condolences to his loved ones at this extremely difficult time."

A North Wales Holstein Club stockjudging evening planned this Friday at Pen Bryn Llan, Llanrhaeadr, has also been cancelled as a mark of respect: the hosts are near neighbours to Bryn's family.

As Bryn helped run the poultry section at Llanrhaeadr Show, the show committee met on Tuesday night to consider the implications.

It agreed to carry on with the August event in his memory.
