Canada Medicine Mart Launches Florida Retail Prescription Drug Challenge.

Business Editors/Health/Medical Writers

EDMONTON, Alberta--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 26, 2004

Canada Medicine Mart, a leading cross-border pharmacy, today announced the launch of its new 30-day Retail Prescription Drug Challenge. The challenge runs from June 15th, 2004, through July 15th, 2004. It offers Florida residents an alternative means to purchase the higher-priced prescription drugs they may now acquire through major US retail chain outlets, such as Walgreens, Eckerd, CVS, and Rite Aid.

Visitors to the Web site are encouraged to send a copy of their most recent prescription, the prescription's receipt, as provided by Walgreens, Eckerd, CVS, or Rite Aid, and a Canada Medicine Mart prescription order form via the Canada Medicine Mart toll free fax. In the event that the printed prescription cost charged by the US pharmacy is less than the Canada Medicine Mart price, Canada Medicine Mart will match the US retail price and offer an additional 10% off the customer's first order. Commonly, however, the average cost savings of the Canadian prescription over a US prescription is 40-50%.

The Canada Medicine Mart service is geared towards customers who use prescription drugs for the long-term treatment of a variety of conditions. Prescription delivery with the use of this service will occur within 14 days of original order placement. Refill orders can often be processed in 3-5 days. Prescriptions are filled when a faxed US prescription accompanies the order.

More details about Canada Medicine Mart's Retail Prescription Challenge can be found at or by phoning the Canada Medicine Mart toll free number at 1-866-767-1010.
