Canada : MBS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT enters 3-year sponsorship deal with SAGINAW SPIRIT.

MBS International Airport and the Saginaw Spirit have inked a 3-year sponsorship agreement, after airport s commission.

The deal will see MBS paying the professional hockey organization $18,000 a year in exchange for numerous advertising opportunities, season tickets and other marketing elements.

The Spirit-MBS partnership continues a beneficial relationship that began in the hockey club s second year of existence, said Airport Manager Jeff Nagel, It s really a good way for MBS to stay involved and show our support for the community. In general, the partnership has worked well and we have received good exposure through the Spirits efforts.

He said, These include an in-ice logo, seat cover banner, web advertising, full page program ad and four season tickets. There are hockey fans among MBS commissioners and employees who enjoy attending Spirit games. The tickets have been well received. We utilize about 90 percent of the tickets.

MBS also is a major sponsor of the Great Lakes Loons and helps support Bay County events as well.

Nagel said, We re one of the sponsors of this year s Tall Ships celebration and have participated in shows at the State Theater. The people that have put these organizations together across the Great Lakes Bay Region are community-minded and we wanted to jump on board.

MBS just completed a three-year agreement with the Spirit and are pleased the partnership is growing.

Nagel said, We do these to show that MBS is a partner in the community. Overall, these partnerships seem to work well for MBS to demonstrate community support and to keep our name out in the Great Lakes Bay Region.
