Canada : INDUSTRY CANADA announces list of wireless spectrum auction participants.

Rogers Communications, Bell Mobility, and Quebecor's Videotron are among the leading telcos that have put down a deposit to participate in Canada's wireless spectrum auction in January.

Industry Canada's list of 15 participants, announced Monday includes Telus Corp. and Globalive, the holding company of Wind Mobile, that have put down the refundable, five per cent deposit for the auction that is scheduled for next Jan. 14.

None of the 15 are large overseas firms, however, the list includes major regional players like Videotron in Quebec, MTS Inc. in Manitoba and Bragg

Communications in Atlantic Canada.
