Canada : Cority Releases Results of 2018 EHS Technology Trends Survey.

Cority, the most trusted environmental, health, safety, and quality (EHSQ) software for assuring client success, today announced the results of its annual EHS Technology Trends Survey. The survey polled EHS professionals from over 25 countries and 12 industry verticals to provide insight into their 2018 EHS technology priorities. Survey findings show that standardizing procedures tops the list as the technology trend projected to have the biggest impact on EHS program performance over the next year.

With the GDPR compliance deadline fast-approaching and ISO 45001 soon to be published, its no surprise that standardizing procedures is the number one priority for EHS leaders in 2018, said Pamala Bobbitt, Director of Product Marketing and Channels, Cority. All of the emerging tech trends explored in this survey are integral to operational excellence and maintaining a competitive advantage, but EHS leaders looking to kick-start 2018 program performance will focus on streamlining and standardizing procedures within their EHS management systems.

Other key findings of the Cority 2018 EHS Technology Trends Survey include:

Manufacturing ready to break down data silos

Respondents in manufacturing indicated they will prioritize sharing EHS data enterprise-wide to improve data accuracy, enable better decision-making, and drive operational excellence across multi-plant environments.

Larger companies look to leverage predictive analytics

Respondents in larger companies (5,000-50,000+ employees) believe adopting predictive analytics will provide the biggest opportunity for program innovation. Results show that EHS professionals will delve deeper into their data in 2018 to proactively identify and mitigate risk and improve total worker health.
