Canada : CANADIAN SOLAR delivers over 8 MW PV modules to GROSOLAR.
First project system is a 6 MW plant at present under construction in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The plant will provide nearly 7.5 million kilowatt hours (kWh) of solar power per year as per a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA).
Another PV system is a 1.8 MW solar project situated at the Camden County Municipal Utility Authority's (CCMUA) wastewater treatment plant in Camden, New Jersey. The plant will make use of Canadian Solar's monocrystalline PV modules.
The system was aimed and put up to span open wastewater treatment tanks, with the solar electricity sold by the third party possessor to CCMUA, the project host, in the form of a PPA.
Third project is a 1.5 MW PV system at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. The joint production of both plants is likely to reach nearly 4.95 million kWh and to offset some 3,712 tons of carbon emissions per year.
Canadian Solar Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Shawn Qu said: "Canadian Solar is committed to supporting its valued partners and customers. We are pleased to be selected as module provider of choice by groSolar's experienced team as we continue to expand in the U.S. market."
