Canada : Aruba Mobile Engagement launched by ARUBA NETWORKS.

Aruba Mobile Engagement, an interactive and personalised mobile service based on Wi-Fi and location services powered by Aruba Beacons has been launched by Aruba netwroks. Aruba Mobile Engagement allows organisations to deliver customised push notifications and exact onsite navigation to customers' mobile devices based on their opted-in, personalised profile settings and position inside the venue. Aruba Mobile Engagement will be accessible in the first quarter of 2015.

Customers can safely opt-in to get mobile push notifications using Aruba Meridian-powered apps, with the help of Aruba Mobile Engagement. Participating customers' in-venue positions are then determined using mobile apps that identify Aruba Beacons Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to safely engage mobile devices inside venues. IT administrators can centrally tackle hundreds of Aruba Beacons and aid business associates increase revenue streams and customer satisfaction, by using the venue's existing Aruba Wi-Fi infrastructure.

Aruba Mobile Engagement does not capture or store user details to eliminate privacy concerns and needs multiple alyers of acknowledgement from the mobile user before activation. Aruba Mobile Engagement enables mobile device users to position themselves by searching for Aruba Beacons versus competing approaches that use hardware in a venue to search for the user. Notifications will only "wake up" a mobile app after users have finished a three-stage opt-in procedure, are next to a point of interest they care about, and input information to create their profile in the mobile app.
