Canada : $4M project in Levis to boost access to Quebec Bridge.

Following the launch of a construction site of the Guillaume Couture Boulevard, South Shore drivers who want to access the Quebec Bridge will have their patience tested on Monday, in Levis.

This $ 4 million development aims to enhance traffic fluidity in the area as well as the safety of drivers using this road, but is going to make many locals unhappy for the next few weeks.

To limit the affect of this construction, which will occur until October 31, the City of Levis has said it will maintain two lanes available in the direction of the Quebec Bridge during morning rush hour (from 6 am to 9 am) and two lanes in the opposite direction, towards Saint-Romuald, in the afternoon (3 pm to 6 pm), Monday through Friday.

Spokesperson for the City of Levis, Stephane Guay, said, "The biggest parts of the work will be done outside peak hours and also at night."
