Can you assist search? Letters.

I AM trying to trace the family of a former First World War soldier.

His name was Lieut William Thirlaway of the 1st Tyneside Scottish, 20th Northumberland Fusiliers - a Pals Battalion raised at Newcastle on October 14,1914.

En route to France, the Battalion camped at Salisbury Plain, before going to France in January 1916.

While at Salisbury Plain, a memento came into the possession of our family with his details written, presumably in his hand, inside. This memento ended up with my mother, who would quite like to reunite it with Lieut Thirlaway's family.

If you have any information that would assist in our search, please contact me at the address below.
