Can doorways erase your brain?

Have you ever walked into a room and forgotten what you went in there for? A scientist at the University of Notre Dame says that the reason is because you walked through a doorway. Doors and door-ways can be like a strange time-warp, erasing the thoughts you had in the room you came from when you arrive in the new room on the other side. Well, not exactly a time-warp, but different rooms can be like different containers for our memories. Going from one room to the next can make it more difficult to remember what you were thinking in the previous room because your thoughts are sealed in that container. Think about this next time you forget something, did a door get in your way?
