ISLAMABAD -- Supreme Court (SC) has summoned Mohammad Usman owner of Averest Pharmaceutical company, DIG Police and additional DG NAB in the case of fixation of prices of medicines besides adjourning the hearing of the case till Tuesday.
During the hearing of the case head of Drug Regulatory Authority (DRAP) pointed out the powerful man of Pakistan.
Upon it Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar remarked ' I am too fond of seeing this man now. I wonder that institution of the country has come up with such an application. Can any one be more powerful than institutions of the country.
A three members bench of SC presided over by CJP Mian Saqib Nisar took up for hearing the case pertaining to fixation of prices of medicines on Friday.
During the course of hearing of the case head of Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) told the court that DRAP and ministry of health are unable to take any action against powerful drug mafia. DRAP has filed petition for help in HR cell of SC.
DRAP head disclosed before the court that Averset Pharmaceutical company manufactures sex drugs in Islamabad. Its owner Mohammad Usman is so much powerful that no officer of DRAP can enter into his company or office. We are helpless against this company since four years.
CEO DRAP said as soon as we take any action, NAB and FIA summon us. Company has registered 30 cases against us in reply to DRAP notice.
CEO DRAP further told that the formulas worked out by this company have not been approved any where in the world. Our every officer fears from going to his office.
DRAP chairman told the court DIG Riffat Mukhtar also browbeats us due to this pharmaceutical company which is manufacturing sex drugs;. He gets publish news against us. He is highly influential.
The health sectary told the court NAB and FIA officers are supporting owner of this company. They harass us when we take any action.
The court directed Mohammad Usman owner of this company, DIG Police who is supporting him and additional DG NAB to appear before it in person besides adjourning the hearing of the case till Tuesday.
