Can't cope with two careers.

QI'VE never thought of myself as disorganised but things are getting out of control. I started working again because we so desperately needed the money and I felt sure I could manage a job and running the home.

I'm finding it hard. I enjoy the work and I love my family, yet I am so run off my feet I'm not sure whether I am coming or going.

I don't want my husband or the kids to feel neglected, but equally I don't want my boss to think that work isn't important to me. How can I organise myself better?

AIT takes time to establish routines so that you can give of your best to both family and work without running yourself into the ground.

Rule number one is to delegate - perhaps you never expect your husband to fulfil both career and homemaker roles, but he should share your workload now.

I suggest you read the paperback `Managing Two Careers - How to survive as a working mother' by Patricia O'Brien. Publishers are Sheldon Press at pounds 3.50.
