Cambrian keep hopes alive with win; WELSH LEAGUE.

FORMER champions Cambrian and Clydach kept alive their slim chance of winning another Welsh League title with a 3-0 home victory over Ton Pentre thanks to goals by Daniel Lever, Miles John and Daniel Stanton.

In the only other game played in the top flight, Penybont, on their new 3G surface, beat Aberdare Town 3-0 with goals by Robbie Walters, Jack Delve and Jonathan Hood.

Llanwern increased their advantage in Division Three but had their work cut out to beat Rhoose and it was only a last-gasp goal by Nick Hooper from a free kick that gave them the three points.

Only one game survived in the Huws Gray Alliance - leaders Cen Druids were held to a goalless draw by Caernarfon but are now nine points clear of the chasing pack.

All matches in the Welsh Alliance Mawddach Challenge Cup second round were called off due to the continued dreadful weather.
