CamCard makes business cards' organizing much more easier.

Shaden Abdulrahman

Tired of losing business cards after successful encounters with professionals? CamCard helps you scan business cards for future references as well as build and share your personal business card with others easily.

Scanning business cards

Take a picture with CamCard's built-in camera of any business card after choosing one of the 3 modes CamCard offers: single, batch, and QR Code. The batch mode is designed to be most useful when you go to a meeting or conference and collect a lot of cards at the same time. The QR code mode immediately scans any QR code, upon trying it on my own business card that has a QR code to my Facebook page, it is very reliable in picking up whatever details are in there.

If you have already taken pictures of a business card, the app will still accept that.

After retrieving whatever info on the business card, and entering remaining contact details, simply review and amend incorrect info before saving. CamCard does an amazing job scanning business cards but it's not always 100% accurate unfortunately. The editing screen lets you merge a new contact with an existing one. When you're done, you can save business cards on your iPhone and CamCard's cloud sync service which you can view on the web.

After having a good number of cards scanned, check out CamCard's "Card Holder" tab on the front page of the app to see all the contacts you have saved.

Organizing and sharing contacts

CamCard makes contacts-sharing too easy by offering you multiple sharing options such as SMS, QR code or email. You can access these by tapping on the triple dot icon on the top-right corner of any contact's page. In addition to that, if you select any contact, and then tap on "More", you can choose to "Export" it as vCard or Excel file via email or directly to your phone contacts list.

Select any contact to add it to an existing group or create a new group for it.

CamCard offers a neat way of saving, sharing and organizing new contacts through its easy to use interface. The app is worth trying out for a few months at least before I make my final judgment but I like it so far. It's a good way to get rid of all those old scattered business cards here and there.
