Cam: I will slash cash.

DAVID Cameron will warn today that Britain faces savage spending cuts under a Tory government.

In a rallying cry to the party faithful, he will unveil a "new age of austerity" if the Tories win the next Election.

Mr Cameron will attack the pounds 2.3billion "wasted" on a revamp at MoD offices.

And he will tell a Tory conference in Cheltenham he will promote ministers who save cash and sack spendthrifts.

A senior Labour source last night said: "It'll mean brutal cuts in the budgets of schools, hospitals and in the fight against crime."
