Calibration source spans 10 Hz to 4 GHz.

The Model 9640A RF Reference Source features a rugged, precision leveling head that delivers signals directly to the unit under test. Signal leveling is accurate to [+ or -]0.05 dB over the 10 Hz to 4 GHz frequency range and for signal amplitudes from 24 dBm to -130 dBm. The unit's sine wave output has low harmonic and spurious content which helps to eliminate measurement differences between wideband/narrowband and peak/rms sensors.

By building a programmable attenuator into the head, the use of separate step attenuators has been eliminated. Although the 9640A comes with a 50-[ohm] head, there is an option to add a 75-[ohm] head so that the reference source can be used in either type of environment.

Because of the combination of precision, dynamic range and wide frequency bandwidth, the 9640A can be used to calibrate spectrum analyzers, modulation meters and analyzers, RF power meters and sensors, measurement receivers, and frequency counters, and attenuators. Fluke, www.rsleads.com/609ee-221
