Caldor signs 500,000 sf lease at Northeast Business Center.

National Realty & Development Corp. of Purchase, New York has announced that the leading regional discount retailer Caldor Corporation has signed a long term lease to occupy 500,000 square feet of distribution space at Northeast Business Center on Route 17K in Newburgh, New York

The space will be located in a new building which will be constructed exclusively for use by Caldor on a 50.51 acre-parcel within the 140 acre, 1.575 million square foot Northeast Business Center complex

"This facility," said Richard Van Houten, Jr., vice president of Commercial Leasing for National Realty, "will also have expansion potential of up to 900,000 square feet."

Construction will begin immediately for delivery in September 1992.

This lease culminates a year long search by Caldor for a second major distribution facility to serve the needs of Caldor's expanding business operations. Caldor operates 128 stores in the Northeast.
