Cable & Wireless moves into India.
Communications company Cable & Wireless has extended into India through a recently formed agreement with Reliance Infocomm, a service provider in India.
Cable & Wireless can now offer its portfolio of global network services in India to multinational customers wanting to utilise data network services in the country. Access points will be deployed in the cities of Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai which is expected to cover approximately 60% of the current market in India for data network services.
The company's Indian subsidiary - Cable & Wireless India - will expand the bandwidth and coverage of the network as demand requires.
No financial terms were revealed.
