Cabinet nod for NTPC land transfer to PWD Delhi.

New Delhi, Jan 17 ( ANI ): The Union Cabinet today approved the transfer of 245.35 of Government land in possession of the National Thermal Power Station of the National Thermal Power Corporation to the Public Works Department, Government of NCT of Delhi.

The land is currently with the Badarpur Thermal Power Station.

The transfer of land will help in the widening of the Meethapur - Jaithpur Link Road from Mathura Road on National Highway-12, to ease traffic congestion in South Delhi

The Cabinet also approved a non-Plan loan assistance of Rs.3264.79 crore to Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) for making payment to four Central Public Sector Undertakings namely, NTPC, NHPC, PGCIL and the NPCIL.

A non-Plan loan assistance of Rs.61.60 crore to GNCTD for making payment to Railways was also approved.

The Cabinet also approved the writing off of Delhi Electric Supply Undertaking period dues amounting to Rs.9438.05 crore in respect of Badarpur Thermal Power Station. ( ANI )
