Cabinet clears Telangana Bill.

Hyderabad, Feb. 7 ( ANI ): The cabinet passed the Telangana Bill which will bifurcate Andhra Pradesh for the creation of a separate Telangana state, during a special meeting of the cabinet on Friday.

The bill will now be sent for Presidential ascent.

"We are very grateful to the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for having approved the Telangana Bill," said D Srinivas, former Andhra Pradesh Congress chief.

"There were speculations that it would not be passed but the prime minster passed it against all the odds.
