CUTTING IN ON KYLIE.

HAVING given themselves a near-enough impossible act to follow when they elected to share their Glastonbury spotlight with Kylie's hot pants and thigh boots, Scissor Sisters have confirmed the details of a full-scale UK tour that kicks off at Birmingham's LG Arena on December 3. Tickets are pounds 30 plus booking fees and they go on sale at 10am today from www.theticketfactory.com or 0844 338 8000.

If you can't make the Birmingham date, the tour also includes a stop at Nottingham Arena on December 14, and you can book tickets for that or any of the other shows at www.gigsandtours.com / www.ticketmaster.co.uk or 0844 8110051.

The Sisters' third album Night Work was denied the No.1 slot by Eminem's Recovery last weekend, but the odds are that both will be overhauled by Kylie's Aphrodite this Sunday.

Her 11th studio album features a lengthy list of high-profile collaborators and is a back-to-her-best triumph, perfectly summed up by her own verdict: "I love the euphoric feel of Aphrodite - delicious pop on the dance floor."
