CUSTOMERS, STOCKHOLDERS HELP GOOD NEIGHBOR ENERGY FUND FOR 11TH YEAR

WILMINGTON, Del., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Delmarva Power & Light Company (NYSE: DEW) kicked off the 11th Annual Good Neighbor Energy Fund campaign by presenting checks totaling $33,500 to the Salvation Army of Wilmington, Del.,

and The Salvation Army of Salisbury, Md.
In previous years combined, the fund has raised more than $2.3 million and helped more than 26,000 needy persons.
The Good Neighbor Energy Fund is designed to help people throughout the Delmarva Peninsula who are having trouble paying their energy bills.
Delmarva Power challenges its customers to contribute to the Good Neighbor Energy Fund. For every $3 donated by customers, Delmarva Power will match $1 up to a maximum of $65,000.
"Together, we can help bring warmth to the homes of families caring for young children and elderly members this winter," said Delmarva Power Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Howard E. Cosgrove. "Our experience has shown that many families want to pay for energy they use. However, faced with sudden economic hardships such as unemployment or medical bills, they are just not able to do so."
"In the past, Delmarva's customers have been great in supporting the fund. We know their generosity and concern for their neighbors will lead to another successful fund drive."
The Salvation Army will administer the fund. Checks should be made payable to the Good Neighbor Energy Fund and sent to The Salvation Army.
