CTN TO TELEVISE RIDER COLLEGE NEC QUARTERFINAL GAME

TRENTON, N.J., March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Rider College's March 4 Northeast Conference (NEC) men's basketball quarterfinal game will be televised on a one-hour tape delay basis by the Cable Television Network of New Jersey (CTN).
Comcast Cable of Trenton will produce the telecast for CTN, which reaches 1.7 million homes statewide as part of basic cable on 35 New Jersey cable systems. The 7:30 p.m. tip-off will be aired beginning at 8:30 p.m. Check your local listings for the CTN channel in your area.
Rider, 16-20 overall and winner of the NEC regular season title -- the Broncs' first in 65 years of intercollegiate competition -- will host the winner of Tuesday night's first-round game between ninth-seeded Long Island University (10-16) and defending NEC champion Robert Morris College (8-18), the number eighth seed in the tournament.
The Broncs, who have won 10 straight games at the "Broncs' Zoo," the nickname for its Alumni Gymnasium homecourt, earned the NEC's top seed by posting a 14-4 league record. Coach Kevin Bannon's team is seeking Rider's first league championship and NCAA Tournament berth since the 1984 team won the East Coast Conference title.
Rider is in its first year of Northeast Conference competition.
CTN is a service of the New Jersey Cable Operators.
