CTN TO AIR 'INTERVENTION: HELP IS AT HAND' TRENTON, N.J., Aug. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Drug and alcohol dependence is
a destructive condition that touches the life of almost every New Jersey resident. The special "Intervention: Help is at Hand" will air on The Cable Television Network of New Jersey to introduce viewers to the effective technique of intervention in treating chemical dependency.
The half-hour program explains what steps New Jerseyans can take to help an addicted loved one get treatment for alcohol and drug dependencies. "Intervention: Help is at Hand" airs statewide on CTN Friday, Aug. 7 at 9:30 a.m. Check your local listings for the CTN channel in your area. The program explains chemical dependency and outlines the basic steps for intervention, as well as showing viewers how the intervention process works. CTN viewers will be able to call numbers listed at the conclusion of the program to obtain information about intervention, including free workshops, counseling and literature. According to the National Center of Health Statistics and the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, an average of 43 percent of all Americans; 76 million adults, are affected by alcoholism in their family. An estimated 20 million individuals in America are chemically dependent. "Intervention: Help is at Hand" was produced to reach those people and give them hope. "Intervention: Help is at Hand" was produced by Project Drug Free, a national non-profit agency dedicated to helping communities, families and individuals in their struggle against alcohol and chemical dependence.
