CT self storage sale biggest ever.

Sperry Van Ness, one of the nation's largest commercial real estate investment brokerage firms, has completed the sale of a self storage facility to a west coast institutional investor for an undisclosed amount.

The property is located at 700 Mountain Road in Bristol, CT, and is the largest single self-storage transaction to date in the Hartford market. Nick Malagisi of Sperry Van Ness/ Storage Realty, Williamsville, NY, represented the buyer and Patrick A. Lemp, MAI, of Self Storage Consultants, Harford, represented the seller, a Connecticut-based partnership.

The three-story, storage project began construction in 2004 and opened for business in February 2005. The facility consists of 607 rental units within 73,850 rentable square feet and contains 100 percent climate controlled space.

"The facility has a prominent location with excellent traffic counts and visibility," said Malagisi.
