CSX APPOINTS ANDREW B. FOGARTY PRESIDENT OF CSX/SEA-LAND LOGISTICS
 RICHMOND, Va., Jan. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- John W. Snow, chairman and chief executive of CSX Corporation (NYSE: CSX), today announced the appointment of Andrew B. Fogarty, 46, as president of CSX/Sea-Land Logistics.
 Fogarty, who is also vice president-executive department of CSX, succeeds Duane H. Cassidy, 58, who was recently named senior vice president-sales and marketing of the company's railroad unit, CSX Transportation Inc.
 Fogarty joined CSX in 1989 after serving for three years as chief of staff to then Virginia Gov. Gerald L. Baliles.
 Prior to that, Fogarty was vice president of administration and finance of the College of William and Mary, and between 1981 and 1985 he served as Virginia's assistant secretary of transportation.
 Fogarty, who holds a Ph.D. from Florida State University, also has served as an adjunct professor at Virginia Commonwealth University and George Mason University.
 He is a director of Global Logistics Services Inc., World Trade Services Inc., The Carpenter Center and Richmond Renaissance.
 Fogarty also is a member of the board of advisors of William and Mary's Graduate Public Policy Program and the Massey Cancer Center in Richmond.
 CSX/Sea-Land Logistics uses a unique computerized information system called SPACS(TM) to direct global distribution pipelines, managing and monitoring inventories and the flow of goods around the world.
 CSX Corporation, headquartered in Richmond, is an international transportation company offering a variety of rail, container-shipping, intermodal, trucking and barge services.
