CSX ANNOUNCES CHANGES AT CSX/SEA-LAND LOGISTICS
RICHMOND, Va., Aug. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- CSX Corporation (NYSE: CSX)

today announced it is increasing the logistics expertise and capability of each of its transportation units as part of its continued efforts to provide new, value-added services for its customers.
The company's logistics and distribution unit, CSX/Sea-Land Logistics, will be restructured at the corporate level under the name CSX Logistics with a smaller staff that will specialize in providing services for CSX units, and in the development of value-added services for new customers, said Andrew B. Fogarty, president of the unit.
"The transition to the new structure," Fogarty said, "has been carefully planned. CSX Logistics will work directly with CSXT, Sea- Land, CSX Intermodal and other units in their respective efforts to help provide unique, specially tailored, customer-oriented programs. Our priorities in this process will be to strengthen existing business relationships and efficiently enhance CSX's ability to provide a broader array of value-added services to our customers in the future."
Over the past two years, the units of CSX have created new dimensions in global logistics and distribution, providing technical assistance and making significant contributions to emergency recovery and relief programs in Kuwait and the Commonwealth of Independent States. The restructuring will ensure CSX's ability to continue its logistics services at the same high level through its principal business units.
CSX Corporation, headquartered in Richmond, is an international transportation company offering a variety of rail, container-shipping, intermodal, trucking and barge services.
