CSP Larkana organises training workshop for mediamen.

LARKANA -- The Civil Society Support Programme (CSSP) Larkana chapter organised a one day training and orientation workshop for journalists of Larkana district on "Rights of Minorities and Responsible Media" here at a hotel on Tuesday.

Renowned intellectual and writer Jami Chandio addressed on the occasion and highlighted the issues of minorities.

He said, "We should struggle for the promotion of religious freedom, human equality, social justice, interfaith harmony and raising voice against victimisation and persecution of other religious minorities."

Jami Chandio said that media plays a key role in wiping out the religious extremism, pursuing positive issues of public and ensuring truthful reporting.

CSSP Manager Afzal Shaikh welcomed the guests and briefed the participants about the project on human rights in Larkana. He said very soon a helpline will be established to deal with human and minority issues.

On the occasion Assistant Commissioner Larkana Dr. Masood Ahmed Bhutto, ASP Larkana city Touqeer Naeem and Social Welfare Officer Larkana Dr. Amir Ali Abro distributed certificates among the participants of the training workshop.
