 CSEA COUNTS STRIKE BALLOTS
 EVENT: The California State Employees Association will
 release results of the union's strike vote. Civil
 Service Division Director Perry Kenny will make a
 brief statement and answer questions.
 DATE, TIME: Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1992, 10 a.m.
 LOCATION: CSEA headquarters, 5th floor, 1108 O St., Sacramento
 VISUALS: Ballots will be run through the machine
 INFORMATION: CSEA's nine bargaining units have been in contract
 talks since last May. In August the Civil Service
 Division leadership approved a strike preparation
 plan, and decided to call for a strike vote after
 all nine units reached impasse with the state.
 Ballots went out Dec. 3 and had to be returned by
 Jan. 7
