CSB approves Job Evaluation Instructions Manual.
Manama, Mar. 29 (BNA): President of Civil Service Bureau(CSB) Ahmed Zayed Al Zayed approved the third edition of the Civil Service Instructions Manual for the year 2016 on job evaluation system.
The instructions come from the relentless pursuit of the Bureau in the study of various jobs in the civil service and the development of standards and regulations to ensure fair and equal treatment of similar jobs when determining the employment level.
The CSB's director general for organization & position budget, Jamal A.Aziz Al-Alawi, said the issuance of these instructions comes as part of the responsibilities of CSB in developing and implementing appropriate plans to classify all jobs in government entities.
The Bureau confirms the principle and policy of "pay commenuruate with work" to optimize the use of Human Resources allocated to completion of work and functions assigned to each government entity, he said.
Al-Alawi said the concept of job evaluation is a structured process that determines the level of jobs within a specific regulation to clarify the relationship between these functions in terms of similarities and differences in the assessment factors applied to achieve justice in the grade and financial value of these jobs. He added that the study and compilation of the instruction manual required taking advantage of examples from several Gulf systems in this aspect.
