CRU-DataPort, a provider of data security and data mobility solutions, has announced the release of its new high-speed, high-capacity Serial Attached SCSI (SAS)/Serial ATA (SATA) desktop and desk-side storage enclosures.

There are professional two and four drive bay models available and customers can choose between DataPort 10, Data Express DX115 and Data Express DE110 rugged removable drive carriers, all of which support any capacity 3.5 inch SAS or SATA hard drive and RAID configurations.

According to CRU-DataPort, the four bay enclosure can provide a 24Gb/s aggregate throughput. All of the enclosures also feature low-noise cooling fans assigned to each removable drive and a rear exhaust fan for general ventilation.

The drives connect to the host using a single one metre, InfiniBand Multilane 4x SAS/SATA cable, which is sold separately. CRU-DataPort will also offer Host Adapter kits if a host connection is not available, which include an SFF-8470 PCI Host Adapter bracket and internal SATA Data cables.
