CRS Sirrine Engineers will provide project and construction management, engineering, detail design, startup, commissioning services, training and performance testing.
Groundbreaking ceremonies were held Oct. 27 in Lakewood for the new energy project. Construction on the performance-guaranteed, 236.3- megawatt gas-fired cogeneration plant will begin in December 1992, and is expected to be completed in September 1994.
The Lakewood facility is expected to produce 944 million kilowatt hours of electrical energy on an annual basis to be sold to Jersey Central Power & Light Co. The steam produced will be sold to American Eagle Distillation Corporation and a number of commercial customers located nearby.
