CROWN CRUISE LINE INTRODUCES A TOTALLY NEW WAY OF CRUISING THE CARIBBEAN
CORAL GABLES, Fla., Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Crown Cruise Line will emerge as a major Caribbean player in 1993, with a total of 126 departures from Palm Beach and New York through March, 1994.
The new Crown Dynasty, scheduled for delivery in June, 1993 will join her newly introduced 800-passenger twin sister, the Crown Jewel, and the 530-passenger Crown Monarch to form a strong presence in the market. Together they will carry nearly 90,000 passengers over the next year and a half, more than tripling the line's capacity over 1992.
"Crown has introduced a totally new way of cruising the Caribbean in 1993," said David Christopher, the line's executive vice president of sales and marketing. "With a choice of 15 different eastern, western and southern itineraries from five to 16 nights, our program will cover the entire Caribbean. Add rarely visited ports of call like Port Antonio, Jamaica; the exclusive home port of Palm Beach; the newest, most intimate fleet of ships in the world; and affordable pricing, and Crown will be hard to beat for a superb Caribbean cruise experience."
Fares for 1993/1994 seven-night Caribbean cruises range from $1,295 to $3,195 per person, double occupancy, including airfare. Fares for 10-night and longer Caribbean itineraries range from $2,095 to $7,295 per person, double occupancy, including airfare.
The Crown Jewel will depart from Palm Beach year round (with the exception of two Panama Canal sailings in November, 1993) making seven- night cruises to the eastern and western Caribbean, and one five-night western Caribbean sailing Jan. 3. Alternating eastern and western itineraries allow for passengers to combine back-to-back cruises, creating a 14-night cruise with different ports each week.
The Crown Monarch, only two years in service, will operate in the Caribbean from January through June, 1993 and from October, 1993 to March, 1994. She'll make five and seven-night western cruises; seven and eight-night eastern cruises; 10 and 11-night eastern/lower Caribbean cruises; 14-night repositioning cruises between Palm Beach and New York and a 16-night Grand Caribbean Adventure cruise from Palm Beach.
The Crown Dynasty will offer 10 and 11-night eastern/lower Caribbean cruises roundtrip from New York, with four departures during the summer. From December, 1993 through March, 1994, the Crown Dynasty will offer a variety of seven-night eastern and western cruises and 10 or 11-night eastern/lower cruises roundtrip from Palm Beach.
