CROSSMAN NAMED DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE CONTRIBUTIONS FOR WEYERHAEUSER CO.

 TACOMA, Wash., June 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Elizabeth Crossman has been named director of Corporate Contributions for Weyerhaeuser Co. (NYSE: WY), the company announced today. In addition, she will continue to serve as vice president for the Weyerhaeuser Co. Foundation.
 "Liz has a strong sense of the company's commitment to our key communities," said Mack L. Hogans, vice president of Government Affairs and Corporate Contributions for Weyerhaeuser Co. "With her leadership abilities, she will help ensure that our philanthropy is aligned with the company's vision and values and needs of the communities where our employees work and live."
 The Office of Corporate Contributions provides staff for the Weyerhaeuser Co. Foundation, oversees policies for company giving, advises company managers across the country on grant-making matters, administers scholarship programs and promotes employee volunteerism.
 The Weyerhaeuser Co. Foundation, one of the oldest corporate philanthropy funds in the country, is fully funded by Weyerhaeuser Co. Since 1948, the foundation has given more than $86 million to nonprofit organizations. Each year the foundation awards nearly $5 million in grants to community and industry projects in the 44 states where Weyerhaeuser has operations. Most grants are awarded in the areas of education, health care, human services, the environment and the arts.
 Crossman was previously regional program manager for Corporate Contributions.
