CRITICAL CARE AMERICA'S SURGICARE AMERICA UNIT COMPLETES ACQUISITION
 NASHUA, N.H., April 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Critical Care America, Inc. (NYSE: CRA) today reported its wholly owned subsidiary Surgicare America completed the acquisition of a 65 percent interest in Winter Park Ambulatory Surgical Center located in the Orlando, Fla., metropolitan area. Revenues for 1992 will be in excess of $3.0 million.
 Robert R. Rock, president of Surgicare America, stated, "The physician owners of Winter Park Ambulatory Surgical Center chose Surgicare America over other surgery center companies for a variety of reasons, including our ability to support outpatient surgery procedures with Critical Care America's extensive infusion therapy programs."

"In January, we announced our intention to expand into the outpatient surgery market and Surgicare America is currently in negotiations with other surgery centers and anticipates more acquisitions this year."
 Critical Care America's executive offices are located at 20 Trafalgar Square, Nashua, N.H. 03060. The company's Infusion Services Division, headquartered in Westborough, Mass., provides infusion therapies to patients in their homes across the United States. Infusion therapies involve the administration of nutrients, antibiotics and other drugs and fluids intravenously or through a feeding tube. The infusion therapies provided by the company include home parenteral nutrition therapy, home antibiotic therapy, home enteral nutrition therapy, chemotherapy, pain management therapy, hydration therapy and congestive heart failure therapy. The shares of the company's common stock are traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol CRA.
