4 June 2010 - Indian credit rating agency CRISIL maintained yesterday the rating of AAAf on the Taurus Liquid Fund and Taurus Ultra Short Term Bond Fund schemes of Taurus Mutual Fund (Taurus MF).

The AAAf rating indicates that the fundsA[cent sign]a'[not sign]a"[cent sign] portfolios will provide "very strong" protection against losses from credit defaults. The funds are managed by Taurus MF's asset management company (AMC), Taurus Asset Management Company Ltd (TAMCL).

The ratings indicate CRISILA[cent sign]a'[not sign]a"[cent sign]s opinion on the credit quality of the debt securities that the funds hold; the ratings do not indicate the AMCA[cent sign]a'[not sign]a"[cent sign]s willingness, or ability, to make timely payments to the fundsA[cent sign]a'[not sign]a"[cent sign] investors. The ratings are also not opinions on the fundsA[cent sign]a'[not sign]a"[cent sign] net asset values (NAVs); the NAVs can vary with developments in the market.
