CRI-SPONSORED TAX-EXEMPT BOND PARTNERSHIPS TO BEGIN TRADING ON AMERICAN STOCK EXCHANGE

ROCKVILLE, Md., June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Two "CRITEF" public partnerships which had not previously elected to trade on a major securities exchange have been approved for listing on the American Stock Exchange (AMEX) and expect to begin trading on July 1, 1993.
The two partnerships, originally sponsored in 1986 and 1987 by the Rockville-based real estate investment firm CRI, Inc., invested in federally tax-exempt mortgage revenue bonds used to finance multi-family housing.
One of the two partnerships has two series of securities in the form of Beneficial Assignee Certificates (BACs). Each series will trade independently on the AMEX. Therefore, the two partnerships will have three securities traded on the AMEX.
-- The symbol for Capital Realty Investors Tax Exempt Fund Limited Partnership, Series I (CRITEF I) will be CRA.
-- The symbol for Capital Realty Investors Tax Exempt Fund Limited Partnership, Series II (CRITEF II) will be CRB.
-- The symbol for Capital Realty Investors Tax Exempt Fund III Limited Partnership (CRITEF III) will be CRL.
William B. Dockser, chairman of CRI, Inc., the managing general partner of each CRITEF partnership's general partner, said: "This is the right time to try to provide liquidity for the CRITEF partnerships and list them for trading on the American Stock Exchange. The market for traded real estate securities expanded greatly during the past year. We hope that investors seeking competitive yields will find the tax- exempt income of CRITEF I, II and III to be worth considering."
Currently, CRITEF I, II and III BACs are tradable only in the so- called secondary market for partnership interests. Several secondary market firms have recently announced they are suspending their market- making activities.
After trading begins, the partnerships intend to continue paying distributions to CRITEF I and II BAC holders semi-annually and to CRITEF III BAC holders quarterly.
