CREDIT CARD PROCESSING INDUSTRY REVOLUTIONIZED WITH NaBANCO'S PATENTED SUREPAY SYSTEM; NEW TECHNOLOGY FEATURES ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE CAPTURE

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., July 9 /PRNewswire/ -- National Bancard Corporation (NaBANCO), the industry leader in third party credit card processing has begun to market its revolutionary, patented SurePay credit card processing system to retailers nationally. No longer will retailers have to worry about the annoyance and cost of procedural chargebacks because the SurePay system combines back office and systemic procedures with new technology to fully protect against procedural chargebacks.
Executives of Fort Lauderdale-based NaBANCO, a wholly owned subsidiary of Atlanta-based First Financial Management Corporation (NYSE: FFMC), say SurePay will revolutionize the processing of credit cards for merchants. "SurePay will significantly impact the way merchants handle credit cards by eliminating procedural chargebacks and sales draft retrieval and storage," said Paul R. Garcia, president and CEO of NaBANCO. "It also speeds the point-of-sale transaction flow, reducing customer wait time."
Innovative technology unmatched in the credit card processing industry makes up the SurePay system which includes several industry firsts. The SurePay Access terminal has the ability to read both tracks of a credit card's magnetic stripe, as well as the card's embossed account numbers. The accompanying SurePay Printer electronically captures the entire transaction at the point-of-sale, including the cardholder's signature, and transmits it to NaBANCO for storage, where it can be retrieved at any time.
The SurePay system can also interface with an Electronic Cash Register (ECR) via a new Multi-Reader device, which can read the MICR encoding on checks, the embossed account numbers, and both tracks of the magnetic stripe on credit cards.
NaBANCO is actively marketing the SurePay system through the company's national, and rapidly expanding regional sales force network which services most major U.S. metropolitan areas. SurePay is available to merchants at approximately the same cost as the credit card processing systems they already have in place.
