CRAIG SUCCEEDS MACMILLAN AT PPG CANADA INC.
TORONTO, Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- James W. Craig has been elected president and chief operating officer of PPG Canada Inc., a subsidiary of Pittsburgh-based PPG Industries (NYSE: PPG) and producer of chemicals, coatings and flat glass. He succeeds J.L. (Jack) MacMillan, who returns to PPG in Pittsburgh on special assignment and retires Feb. 1. Craig, 57, joined PPG in 1975 and was general manager, building products, Coatings and Resins Group, before moving to Mississauga, Ontario, in 1989 as PPG Canada's vice president and general manager, coatings and resins, responsibilities he retains. He formerly was an executive of another American building products firm. MacMillan, 64, joined PPG Canada in 1952 and held PPG chemical sales and product management posts in the United States. He was vice president and general manager of PPG Canada's former Stanchem Division in Montreal and then held a series of PPG chemicals executive posts in Pittsburgh before returning to PPG Canada in 1986 as president and chief operating officer. -0- 12/16/92 /CONTACT: John S.
