CRAIG IS COMING HOME TO SCOTLAND.
Byline: VICKY SPAVINCOMEDIAN Craig Ferguson is coming home after five years in LA.
The star - who made his name as loud-mouthed bigot Bing Hitler in the early 1990s - says he is buying a house in Scotland.
In Glasgow for the launch of his latest film, Born Romantic, Craig, 39, revealed: "For a long time I felt I couldn't come back to Scotland.
"I had this thing about cracking America but now I've done that I feel I can come home."
A role in the Drew Carey Show as Drew's boss Mr Wick secured the US success Craig craved. But he looks set to quit the top- rated comedy next year.
He said: "I'm contracted until next season, then we'll see what happens."
And although a permanent move back to Scotland is unlikely, he will make his debut as a director here later this year in a romantic comedy about the death of socialism.
"I don't know what directing is because I haven't done it," he says. "But there seems to be a lot of sitting down involved so I quite fancy it."
